‘For only your maker can draw a sword against you’, to adopt a human sentiment. Only your maker, and what have you become if not the unwilling captain of your own destiny?
Behemos are a species of people not related by birth, but by mutual death. The making of a behemos requires an individual to be pulled into a black hole of their own making, and within the paradox of their magical output combined with their own sort-of death, they are 'reborn', or borne, as a behemos.
